Lately, all I feel like I have been doing is coming home and studying until the wee hours of the morning (thanks uni!) or organising market stalls and baking late into the night. So the last thing that is on my mind when I wake up is eating a proper breakfast.

I know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and I SHOULD be finding the time to eat a good substantial breakfast. But honestly, if I can find a way to make my morning routine faster and sleep in just 5 more minutes, I’ll do it!!
So when I saw that there was a Product Talk by Nuffnang available, I jumped at the chance to participate and try the New Cranberry Flavoured Kraft Belvita Breakfast Biscuit.

With 6 packs in the box, that meant 6 days to test these biscuits!!
Day 1:

I went to the gym this morning, and was late getting home in time to get ready for work. Then remembered I had the box of belVita biscuits!!! Grabbed a packet on my way out the door and raced to work. Arrived in the office and was STARVING!!
I didn’t read the box that said “when combined with dairy, fruit or tea” so after just an hour or so, I was STILL hungry!! Note to self – make sure you eat a proper breakfast after the gym!!

Day 2:

Made myself a green smoothie this morning, combining my dairy AND fruit into one!! Grabbed a packet of belVita biscuits to take with me. Didn’t notice that I was hungry until around 12:30 – 4 hours later! Maybe next time I will put my biscuits IN the smoothie and give it a bit of crunch!!!

Day 3:

Ate my belVita biscuits with yoghurt, fruit and cup of coffee as the box suggests. Again, wasn’t hungry until around 12:30pm, but I did feel like I ate a little too much dairy. Maybe next time I’ll try a green tea, instead of my milky coffee!

Day 4:
Brought a packet of belVita biscuits to work, but completely forgot to eat them!!! So I ate them with lunch. Purely because I love the taste!!!!

Day 5:

I added some biscuits to my strawberry, banana and rice milk smoothie this morning. It gave it a little added crunch!! Delicious.

Day 6:

It was someone’s birthday in the office today.. so I didn’t eat my biscuits for breakfast. Morning tea was scheduled for 9:30am, and I didn’t want to miss out on CAKE!!
(BAD I KNOW!!!)
So instead I ate my biscuits, fruit and coffee at lunch time. For once I wasn’t STARVING at 3pm, and when I got home today, I didn’t raid the cupboard for snacks like usual!

Verdict:

Firstly, these biscuits are delicious. I thought they would be quite sweet as they are cranberry flavoured, but the makers of these biscuits have found the perfect line between too sweet and just right! I would happily sit here and eat them, not just at breakfast time!! But I’m also quite poor at the moment, so the thought that I have 6 breakfasts lined up is great!!

Secondly, they are so handy to put in my bag as I’m running out the door, or leave in my desk drawer for those mornings when my head isn’t on straight! The box has 6 individually wrapped packs of 4 belVita Breakfast Biscuits, which when combined with a dairy product, fruit product and your usual cup of coffee or tea, has been scientifically shown to deliver 4 hours of sustained energy release.

Thirdly, they’re CHEAP! Quickly looking online at Woolworths, a box sells for only $3.00! Divide that by 6 days, plus a dairy option and fruit, I’d be looking at MAX $1.50 a day!! For a poor struggling UNI student, I’d love to add more variety then 2 minute noodles!!

I’ll definitely be buying them in the future!! I’m excited to try the other flavours that are available. Honey & Nut with choc chip sounds delish!!
